It is amazing what Google Dashboard can do. Google never ceases to amaze me. Aside from their Google Analytics, AdWords and Adsense, I am completely satisfied with the current Google Dashboard released; perhaps because it keeps me organized.
My initial impression is that it gives me quick access to every Google service I use. GMail, Google Chat, even the Calendar is accessible with just one click. Local search is possible too, pretty amazing how it does that.
Furthermore, Google Dashboard exactly tells you how much Google knows about you. It summarizes the data of each service you use. To give you a few of the products offered by Google that you may find interesting, I list down those that I personally use and accessible also in Dashboard.
- Google Alerts – Firstly, Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic.
- Google Blogger – is a free blog publishing tool from Google for easily sharing your thoughts with the world. Blogger makes it simple to post text, photos and video onto your personal or team blog.
- Google Calendar – With Google’s free online calendar, it’s easy to keep track of life’s important events all in one place.
- Google Docs – Create and edit web-based documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Store documents online and access them from any computer.
- Google Reader – Moreover, you can read them in one place with Google Reader, where keeping up with your favorite websites is as easy as checking your email.
- Google Talk – Chat with family and friends over the Internet for free.
- iGoogle – is your personalized Google page. Add news, photos, weather, and stuff from across the web to your page.
- Gmail – email from Google. Gmail is built on the idea that email can be more intuitive, efficient, and useful.
- Web History – Web page tracking, which records Google searches, Web pages, images, videos, music and more. It also includes Bookmarks, search trends and item recommendations.
- YouTube – Lastly, popular free video sharing Web site which lets users upload, view, and share video clips.
Overal, all of this is just one of the few products of Google that could be access and controlled over one application – Google dashboard. Though it’s kind of creepy to know how much data Google knows about you. Personally, I will continue using it.
