I can’t help but get really pissed off when people are looking for a website at a bargain basement price. We get an inquiry, we give them a rough estimate of the cost and then get a rebuttal.. they say, “But I can get a site done for allot cheaper”, ya! if you want crap! The facts are you need to get realistic on what you’re getting.
There’s a TV show about contractors that don’t do the job properly. Yes it is true, they don’t do the job properly because you’re getting what you paid for..If you want the work done right you need to hire the proper professionals to do it. These so called basement dwelling web designers whom most of them have day jobs and are designers by night can’t do the job properly. You will get what you pay for which is a poorly designed website at a bargain basement price. God forbid a couple of years or even months down the road something goes wrong or, you want to add or update something on the site, try to get in touch with the individual or so called website design professional that did the site for you and they’re nowhere to be found. ”
So beware of the flyers you see on the street light posts for cheap website design.
Do not get me started!!!!!! They have a site relating to the CBS TV show “Rules of Engagement” on whether you boss is worse than Russell (David Spade’s character) with respect to his assistant Timmy. I could give you excellent examples on Web Design shisters, that while lip wristed and weak kneed would make you cry out of frustration.
That is a problem with many new business owners. They think just any website would work for their business, no matter how cheesy looking. Common justification to this will be “I will upgrade it later” which never happens for years or until they go out of business, yet never realizing one of the problems that made them go out of business! Their poor represenatations on the web!
Company’s that are looking to bargain are not realizing what the long term affect is and how important it is to do things right the first time. Your comment relates to so many topics of basement bargains. “People” you pay for what you get, so get it done for the right work, not price!
